Klaus and I have been in the food industry our entire careers. We have seen both the good and bad sides of the commercial food industry. We decided in 2011 that we wanted to make a difference in where food comes from. We leased my Grandparents farm in 2011 and in 2012 we purchased the farm. In 2025 our farm received its preservation status.

That same year in 2012 we started the organic transition process, to grow organic grains. We raised organic corn, wheat and soybeans to sell for organic livestock feed.

In 2024 we took an even bigger leap of faith and transitioned the grain fields to 100% hay. We saw a need in our local community for good quality, humanely raised, healthy proteins. These hay grounds would allow us to expand our tiny grassfed beef operation as well as enabling us to start a pasture raised pork, pasture raised hens for eggs, and pasture raised meat chicken program.

In 2026 I quit my corporate career of 22 years to enable me to put every ounce of "me" into this mission. To raise proteins for my community in the way that it was intended. The way my great-grandparents did it 100 years ago.
